Life Doula Consulting/New Service – Word To Your Mothers

I would like to share about a new service for Word To Your Mothers®! After 12 years as a doula and childbirth educator, I’m shifting my work focus to life consulting. Being a birth worker has been a true joy and honor; but a couple years ago, after being diagnosed with Epstein-Barr Virus, the on-call lifestyle that comes with being a doula was taking a toll on my health. Closing one door to open another was not an easy decision, but one that had to be made.

So, why life consulting? Well, after meeting with mentors and leaders in my life, I realized the thing I loved most about being a doula was helping my clients navigate choices and decisions. I loved guiding them in perhaps the most transformational time of their lives. So many times, clients would say, I wish you could also be my “Life Doula.” I didn’t realize at first how much of a need there is for doulas in all aspects of life. Life consulting felt like the best and right choice for me to continue serving people in a way I’m best positioned.

Navigation is part of the process on any trip or life journey. But sometimes you get lost or stuck and need to ask for directions. You know you don’t want to be that stubborn human that doesn’t ask and then adds several more hours (or years) to your trip, LOL!
